Engaging with a target audience aged 13-18 and raise educational aspirations. This was the challenge set by the Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire Collaborative Outreach Programme (DANCOP).
Our experience in the higher education sector and creative approach to campaign creation led us to design their brand, marketing and digital services. As well as advising them on high profile engagement campaigns.
To target a youth audience, the brand had to be dynamic, engaging and able to transfer across a range of channels. It also had to fuse the aspirations of the newly formed DANCOP team and be easily identifiable with the target audience. This was achieved through a combination of vibrant colours and bold shapes. Both are popular with youth brands such as SuperDry and Hollister Co.
The new brand works on its own and alongside key supporters. Such as the ‘National collaborative outreach programme’ and the ‘Office for Students’ branding.
Working with the DANCOP team we created marketing collateral that gave their outreach programme a firm sense of identity. One that also translates clear messages to their target audience and provides a unified experience through multiple channels. All of which were critical to ‘activating’ a young audience.
Through creative meetings, we translated the brand across a range of target audience specific activities. These included their DANCOP cash dash and also fantastic campaigns such as their STEM bus. Which saw the brand engage with over 120 schools across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
“We began working with Starbots through a recommendation and haven’t looked back. ”
